This blog post about Portrait Photography of a 55-Year-Old Scientist happened by change. In July 2013, I embarked on a creative journey to craft a character for one of my upcoming novels. The character was a 55-year-old scientist working in a Government institution, set in 1960s India. I provided a brief description to StarryAI, and it generated several intriguing images. I also created some colored oil painting portraits. While revisiting my old images, I stumbled upon this set and thought it was an excellent opportunity to publish this image gallery, showcasing a male character.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the original prompt, but I opted for a reverse image search using imagetoprompt.com. The prompt that resonated with me was:

My modified prompt was:

Using these prompts, I generated a few images on Nightcafe Studio. The original set featured men with thin mustaches, while Nightcafe’s AI rendering gave a more pronounced mustache. I appreciate both versions.
More variations- Stable Diffusion 3 and Dalle3 4k
I used the same prompt on two more imaging tools - Dalle3 4K and Stable Diffusion 3 Medium (both via Huggingface) to see how the tools interpretated the prompt. That is when I recalled- the original prompt also had the line "photograph showinf 1950s vintage). So I modified the prompt with my line. The images show quite an interesting renderings.

However, the one that struck a chord was the picture without a mustache. It bears a resemblance to Dr. Ambedkar, a highly revered and respected figure. This image resonated with me, and I conclude this post with that image.
