Introduction
The vibrant culture of Rajasthan, India, with its colorful attire, intricate jewelry, and strong women, has always been a source of inspiration for artists. This exploration takes a unique turn by examining how artificial intelligence, specifically text-to-image AI models, interpret and depict these cultural elements.
The common prompt used for the images:
“Portrait of a Rajasthani Indian woman, Textured style with negative space, layered visual effects, bold color contrasts. Modern mixed with vintage or distressed elements,”
This prompt is a modified version of a prompt posted by Heather Cooper (@HBCoop on X/Twitter). I modified it to feature "Indian essence". My aim is to explore how different AI models capture the essence of a Rajasthani woman while incorporating different generative AI Imaging methods.

Imaging Tools and Methods Used
In no particular order, I used the following generative AI imaging tools: Stabel diffusion, , PlaygroundAI, Bing image creator, and the following instances on Huggingface: google's SDXL instance, Animagine AL 3.1, SDXL-Lightening instance by Bytedance, JuggernautX V.10, and others.
Analyzing AI-Generated Portraits of Rajasthani Women
Each AI model, with its unique algorithms and training data, brings a distinct perspective to the prompt. Let’s examine how they have visualized the Rajasthani woman. I added impasto style, anime, negative space, among a few other modifiers to the original (base) prompt, you can see the results below.

Making slight changes to the prompt can add great variety and make difference to the visual appeal images. Some of them can be seen below. In the table below, for each row, I have used a different imaging tool. Both images in each row uses the same prompt, but the prompt for the image on the right uses negative space.
